If you lean it to a wall it will bend over time no matter if it is one piece or 3/4.
The bend will be in the thinnest area under the ferrule.
This was my bad experience a long time ago...

Or you spend a few bucks for a small cue holder screwed to the wall.
You can put your cue upright in there without an angle.

i wouldnt of thought that leaning your cue against a wall while its in a good case will warp the cue, everyone knows you shouldnt lean your cue against a wall when it isnt in a case, i think that if you did lean your cue with the tip resting on the wall for a long period the cue would warp towards the wall, i think its just the weight of the cue that will make this happen because cues dont seem to warp when stood upright in a cue rack.

Ok, I think we've got a wee mix-up here, guys.

When I said the cue'd warp when left leaning, I meant if it wasn't stored in a case, particularly in a case with molding to protect the cue. I also store my cue in an ali case and leave it leaning against the wall for convenience. However, it's in a nook so's it can't fall over, as shocks like that really don't do a cue any good.

I would never lean an unprotected cue against a wall, for the reasons aforementioned.

However, if you've got a leather case, don't lean it against a wall, as the "skeleton" of the case is wood, and wood will warp over time. Leather cases on the floor or on top of the wardrobe or wherever, as long as it's flat.

A wooden case would be like a leather case without leather....
Leaning against the wall is a nono...

OK so the long and short of it is this. My cue is always leaning against a wall in my house which is free of sunlight/direct heat radiators etc..in a silver Peradon hard case. Will it or wont it warp?

Only if there's a natural bend in the cue waiting to come out - you won't cause any warping with what you're doing, ok?

It is quite a sturdy wooden case though, but still i only keep it stored flat.
