So I was wandering around the web trying to find out how you make cues with a view to "giving it a go" sometime in the future (I can almost feel the pro cuemakers cringe).

Anywoo I came across this website...

Things You'll Need:
One old pair of hiking boots Two metal tent pegs/spikes Two ropes, one foot length each Duct tape.

1)Take one tent peg/spike and place it on either side of the boot.

2) Tie the spike and boot together with the rope.

3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other boot.

4) Wrap the duct tape around each boot to ensure that the spikes will be securely bounded to the boots.

Woohoo!! Safe as houses

How to fix a dent on a pool or snooker cue
Got a dent in your cue? If it isn't a seriously big dent, you can easily attempt to fix it or level the dent slightly.

1 Find the dent on your cue, you can mark it with a pencil which can be easily rubbed off.

2 Put a small drip of water on the dent, let it soak it. Do not use too much water.

3 Now leave you cue to dry.
