Yes its another refinished one. That picture was the cue with oil on so appeared more shiny. Infact ive just this minute finished the final finish on the cue and its nice and shiny now.

Its actually one of KeithinFrance's cues. It needed a certain amount of "work" as when it was made it was not good at all, but that is another story for another day.

Good work, now looks very nice. I guess it is the one you said was bone dried and needed to be oiled 9 times and so on, is that right?

Yes, I had one that says, Brunswick, and then trophy, on the butt. It has varnish on the butt, a black joint collar then a white joint, black joint collar on the shaft, with a wood piloted fit like a Gauthier.

Because of the varnish, I cannot see the ebony. The logo was in gold or something like that, just the letters, not Brunsiwck logo.

I have heard that Trophy have different markings, what is yours like?

I saw one which was really nice, with the same Trophy joint, but had 4 ebony points with 4 veneers (like a Willie Hoppe), with a big Brunswick Balke Collander old logo (with the little green guy holding the cue)--the kind that is really big and can wear off easily, and on it it says 'Professional Snooker Cue."

The logo was intact and in very good shape, black fibre ferrule. Owner wont sell it to me.

What wood do you like to be used as secondary splices on your cue?

My favorite is snakewood.

I am working on a few cues and almost all of them have snakewood.

Burl is my #2 and then tulip #3.

I also like a wood called bocote and zirocote but they do not seem to be used at all on snooker cues.
