yes of course, the more work the more the cost! depends on the work invloved and the cost of the woods.

if got time can also meet up for a game im a noooob lol
Here it goes. I've been researching for a while and as I said, I'm waiting for both T. White and Stamford contact me again.

        T. White: basic ebony is 250 pounds with extenions and postage totalling another 100 or so, so 350 pounds equates to roughly just over $700 which is rather reasonable with what I hear about his quality. As for splicing and all that, TW said that just a simple front face splicing depending upon what type of wood would be anywhere from 270-320. Have a search of TW cues on this thread and you'll find some rather elaborate splices. Also, if you do manage to contact him, he'll help you out there too.

Stamford: plain ash/ebony series 1 is about 225 pounds with another 70-80 for butt/ext/hole for extensions. He hasn't got back to me about delivery to Aus.

They are the two I'm tossing up between, but leaning heavily towards Trevor. Where abouts in Sydney are you?

          Have you tried zak?
          www.zakscustomcues.com
          He is also from aust.
I have contacted him before and he is a very nice guy who is also attentive to details.
I have a frd whom he help customed a cue abt 10yrs ago. Quality and workmanship is definately on par w/ UK counterparts.
At least you can save a limb just from the postage charges to Aust.

          Regards

Have you got a cue from him? How much did it cost?

Also, I don't really mind spending money on postage for a top quality cue.

I'm from the Bankstown area. Do you play at Burwood RSL? I hear that they have a decent snooker culture there. Keep in touch through here and once my uni exams are over, I might drop around, how old are you and whats your HB? I'm 20 and HB is 38.

As for splicing, you know as well as me that it is purely cosmetic. But if you want a sexy butt, Trevor is the man to go to. As i said, do a seach on here and you'll find some good ideas. But just for the record, a plain black ebony cue is 250 pounds, I sent Trevor a few examples of cues/butts I liked and they reached upto 550 pounds which is essentially close to another cue.

Haha, doubt it, I'd say it would be 400+ just for the cue.

                          Zak custom cue

                          Hi,

I dun own a Zak's cue yet but I m in the midst of getting one.
I had tried one of Zak's cue, it is very good indeed.
The price which Zak quoted me is very reasonable,a full ebony butt cue ard AU$200.
I m having one of my old cue respliced by him. Can't wait to lay my hands on it.

At least, if u have any problem with the cue, u can have it sent back to retify at a small cost instead of a bomb. Furthermore, u dun have to pay the currency different for the same make of cue.

If there is any more quries, do email me tanjweeloy@yahoo.com.

                          Regards.
