If you're wanting to try cues to get an idea of what you want, you could try:
http://www.snooker-cues-cuecases.co.uk/, and see if he's still in business. Gordon Bain is the guy, and he's based in Paisley. He doesn't have a table, but he did have a nice selection of good cues in before.
There's also another possibility, which is to go to your biggest local snooker hall and see what they have. There was one in the Lothian area which had a good choice of cues and they even had some 1st class Tony Ions stock they've sold on eBay. I can't remember the name, but it was a big place, apparently. Maybe it was in Rosyth? CJ's?
Anyway, make a few 'phone calls and see what the snooker halls can do for you, before you think of going to visit the Auld Enemy. LolIl n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.

Anyway, if you can go to Edinburgh with a few cues then that'll probably be the best bet, especially if you've got a couple of Trev's cues to show our friend ...Il n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.
