what cue length?

Hi, I am going to buy a custom made cue but I'm a little short. My body length is 167 cm and from the ground to the top of my shoulder is about 137 cm.
I was thinking to buy the cue with 135 cm as length but some of my local club players say that 135 cm is too short.
What do you think? advice on the length?

yeah, i have the same problem, i am 173cm but my arms and legs are short, lol ,i don't know what length suits me, i never tried cues out of range 140-145 cm. so is there any ways of deciding your cur length by measuring your arm length ? cos i think the long of body is not really accuracy. need help~!!!

Here's what I've been told (preferable if you have a buddy help you):

grip the cue leaving 1-2in of the butt showing (personal preference). Then, get down as if to hit a ball, ensuring that your cueing arm is perfectly perpendicular to the table. At that point, the distance between your bridge and the tip of your cue should be 12" (again, there's some personal preference to this, but don't deviate too much from it). Have someone measure what the distance actually is using your regular cue. Then, just do the proper math and you can add up what your ideal cue size is.
