Mike, if not too annoying, please give your best quote to this one to : unclevit@yahoo.com
I think Mike may be looking for genuine specifications of around 500 separate users, not unreasonable from a base as large as TSF. Can't be certain of the purpose for the statistics but I'm quite happy to be patient.
In all honesty, I like a 3/4 more but don't like carrying it around. It's nice throwing a 2pc case over my shoulder and forgetting about it. As I get older, convenience is becoming more important.
Nice cues.
But I dont think that is the kind of maple I have in mind.
Spalt maple has some dark patches which I was told was formed from the tree saps or something like that. They usually display a very unique random formation.

It'd be nice if you could post some pic........ i'm rather curious .
BTW have you seen a cue Splat Maple ?

maybe they are not so tall....but not me,i'm 183cm and using a 58" cue
I am not tall either.
i have tried very short cues like 55", 56" and now I am using 57". I like the short cue when I am among the balls but for longer pots and power shots I feel more comfortable with a bit more length.
I am sure it is an individual choice.
I notice a lot of the HK members prefer something under 58". Just wondering may be if it has something to do with playing condition in HK or perhaps it is the choice of certain famous pro(s) over there or is something the cue sellers recommend, that is all. Thank you.
i think genetics come into play.
chinese people's height are around 165-175 on average.
unless you are ET, i dont think these people have that long hands.
thats why they use something between 56"-57''
i have never seen anyone using 55'
