I just want to share with you the joy of my both new beauties...

A Robin Cook plain black 20" butt with extra long splicing wings and a really nice shaft.

A Tony Wilshaw with a maple veneer and a Satine Rubane top splice.

Arent't they nice?

Yes, it is really a wonderful cue and a fantastic player.
The splicing is 20" from butt. It is Robins Geet Sethi made to my specs, not as facsimile cue. Thus it has Robins own badge what I prefer.

i'm asking because i'm planning to get a robin cue myself, with my own specs.
in short, a 1pc with plain black ebony butt.

i'm not aware that the geeti sethi cue can be made to your own specs, because i thought the geet sethi cue is only made according to geet's own specs. did you simply had robins make a cue from scratch with your own specs?

if mine is not the geet sethi cue, do i still get the robins own nameplate/badge, the same one you have?

I've asked for a cue with my specs but with the look of the Geet Sethi cue.
Robin told me that this is no problem but he will attach his own badge instead of the Geet Sethi as the cue is not a facsimile.

And that was my preferred version. The Robin badge is for me much nicer that the Geet Sethi.

Robin uses the spirolok joint, the same like Hunt & Osborne and Dave Coutts.
And I have ordered from Robin mini butt and telescopic extension.

I do believe that Robin who is a great cuemaker, but as I know the cue prices from him will be going up very soon !!!!!!!!!!

by the way, did you order any cue cases from robin? or did you just have the cue sent off to Germany (i see that your country is germany lol)? did you find it safe?

I have ordered just the cue and xtensions and it was perfectly packed. One tube for the cue, cue in bubble wrap. One tube for extensions, seperately packed in bubble wrap. Both tubes in a carton box reinforced with thin wooden pieces. The packaging would survive a jungle trip.

The round part of the butt is 32 cm/12.6"
So the splicing wings are about 8" !!! Compare that to a Parris...
