Why 'Ebony' butt cue has higher price than other woods ? What's the pro & con of using this wood vs other hardwood such as rosewood, birdseye, etc. ?

I don't remember where I read that article. It's local print. I think the differences are in the density/weight which effect directly on the balancing of the cue, while beauty is personal preference, and durability adds more life span.

You probably meant personality traits she looks for. Those would be more important than all that other stuff you did mention. Unless they mostly consist of figures.
