Ping sound

Could some one please give me advise of the ping sound my cue make on hard strokes.
My cue is a two piece Joe Davis(Peradon).
I have replaced the tip and cleaned the joint with no results.

What could it be??

If it's not the tip it must be either the ferrule or the weight has come loose?

Maybe the ferrule is loose....
You can try to have the ferrule replaced. i
If the problem still persist, then it must be the weight have came loose.

Have you ever used a cue that occasionally makes a strange noise? Maybe a slight ‘metallic’ sound on certain shots?

I have come across this sound so many times over the years, and almost invariably it comes down to one of two things – either a loose ferrule or a poorly fitting tip.
