dave coutts reputation
Hi, would like to state that i am louise coutts and was present during the conversation with jamie baratt and also read all text messages sent including the very first one from jamie barratt whilst on holiday stating he had a jp paragon cue to sell and was dave interested (at no point did he state he was selling cue for anyone else)
Dave has an un blemished reputation for being honest and would think nothing of turning away someone if he though he could not help them out honestly.
jamie turned up with the cue for dave to look at stating that he knew someone that would pay him £380 for the cue. Dave was honest and said he could only give £200 so that £380 offer was a good price and that jamie should take it, but if jamie was interested in doing a swap for another cue we could do some sort of deal. He stocks hunt and osbourne, wooldridge, jp to name but a few. he had a fair choice of cues to look through, the one that took this eye was an imported cue which dave told him from the start. Dave stated he could put a badge into the cue as it was blank, which would state customised by dave coutts which is a badge he uses if he does any work on a cue and is specifically asked to put a badge on the cue (dave had re ferruled and re finished this cue so was happy to put this badge in cue) All cues made by dave have badges that specifically state hand made by dave. This was made clear to Jamie. Jamie went off to think about it and have lunch and macdonalds. whilst having lunch he rang dave to say he would swap the cue and asked dave to put one of his own badges in to which dave again stated he would only put the customised badge in as he had not made the cue.
As for Dave stating that jp and wooldridge import there cues, Dave has been to jp workshop and seen how busy they are, and wooldridge has just had a new workshop built with plenty of dust extraction so we have no reason to believe that they do not make there own cues. Dave also used to buy cues of wooldridge trade but he is that busy at the moment had cannot supply trade cues to dave
