You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table

Damning verdict on Ronnie's future there mate!

          Although I agree in part.

A good cue for you is one you feel confortable with in the first place. That's true for any player. And it's not true only for cues but for any high performance tool. So for me this comment is perfectly uncalled for. And it would equally be if it wasn't about Ronnie, believe it or not.

Not really, you can not be unbiased as you are a Ronnie fan and a moderator on his forum and if your statement was true why did he 1. give away his original JP cue away and 2. snap another that he was getting on fine with.

Simple fact is his game is lacking and him blaming his cue by continually getting new ones made by John and blaming his recent bad performance on the cue.

What is the expression - A bad workman always blames his tools.

He never blamed the cue. The cue he gave away apparantly needed repair and not for the first time. The other one was destroyed in a fit of frustration... he actually hesitated between getting rid of the table or getting rid of the cue. I guess the table proved to be too strong opposition!

How could you possibly know that he NEVER blamed his cue?
Why does he change his cues so often?
I dont pretend to know Ronnie, and I cannot possibly know what really goes on in his mind. So, I am just curious.

Perhaps he is signalling to us that 'any cue that fits a player' is a good cue... No matter what brand

Hendry has had success with an Acuerate?

What do you mean? It is always the same brand, and the same design.

By the way, I heard that Ronnie is getting a Kevin Sharland, and he is getting Phillip to check the cue to make sure it is EXACTLY perfect before they ship it to him from China..

Well, in this case, all his past cues were 'almost' fitted him Perhaps, Phillip should check also the number of the lines/arrows on it

I meant he never blamed anything on his cue in any public statement. I don't know neither what's going on in his head and BTW you'd wonder sometimes if he knows himself

Also I don't see that he has changed cue "so often". For what I know, the one he destroyed last January was the one he got at the start of the 2006/07 season. The previous one, that he gave away after the semis in the WC 2006, was the one he had already when he won his first WC title in 2001. So that's not as he changes his cue every odd week.
Some players live with their cues for all their carreer but this is not the main trend. Others like Dominic Dale or Jimmy White have had really many and change regularly.

As I know,Ronnie's new JP is 1351.And it is single splice with THIN maple veneer and Rosewood splice.Just only a little change for the Maple veneer.
I also saw his have a photo that a four splice cues in hand too.
How many cues did he owned?
But I also heard someone said he will use Glover in next year!!!
