or it may of been Trevor White as he is also close to London ......... on the same page anyway.
Ronnie does not know enough about cues to even know who Mike Wooldridge is, he keeps sending back perfectly good cues to John Parris for no reason at all apart form he thinks that they are not right.
Approx 3 months ago i went into Robert Osbournes in Tooting to have some work done to my cue. He had about 4 cues in the whole workshop cause he cant keep up with the demand abroard as so popular. 1 cue he did have leaning up took my eye, it was a 1 piece ash / ebony with 4 olive wood splices on the butt, EXACTLY the same as my trevor White, identical, very simular to Matthew Stevens cue, which is also an osbourne.
Rob told me he was visiting Ronnie soon to give him a few samples to try as he had been contacted by him.
When i picked my cue up Rob said Ronnie had tried a few and had kept the one like mine to throw about as it was the one he liked best.... He also said that he prefered the Parris traditional style so would rather have the new one if any made with a maple splice as per the traditional appearence........
I ve just turned on the premier snooker and Ronnie is smashing up Marko Fu with a cue EXACTLY the same as the one which, i tried and the one he kept with the olive splices.
Also Osbourne cues tend to have a thicker taper on their cues as i ve noticed. This is noticable with the one he's using , obviously the olive splices grew on him...
Oh and Rob said it does nt make any difference to him if he uses his cue promotion wise (obviously really nice though) as they simply cant keep up with demand as it is, so not as if they can make more money. They can only make so many !!!

Anyway, my Trevor was better lol
Could be wrong of course!!
Talking about Olive wood, a friend of mine is a catholic. He collects crosses, rosaries, etc., made with Olive wood. He just got a new custom cue with Olive wood splices too. It has a mental effect on him, that he plays better ever since. Perhaps I should do one too, as I am a catholic also

Simple fact is his game is lacking and him blaming his cue by continually getting new ones made by John and blaming his recent bad performance on the cue.
Ha, Ronnies game is lacking, when did this happen? He is by far the best player in the world, he's just a bit loopy too.

How do you know they're perfectly good cues? As I understand it, a cue is very personal and if you're a professional snooker player, you probably have very specific requirements. I don't see a problem with 'continually sending back cues because he thinks they're not right' - it's his cue and he's paying.
I build PCs for a living, and if someone wants to pick over the requirements it's entirely up to them - I imagine that's the same for sporting equipment.
I don't have the exact quote, but, when asked about his latest cue, after the premier league match .... he said
'it's alright, not great.... hopefully they'll keep chipping away and come up with something'.
This was after 3 centuries in 3 frames!
You can understand it with him tho, always looking for perfection. With the level of accuracy and amount of control he has, he will notice things with cues that the average player on here won't even have a inkling about.
