I am big fan of master cue because of their rigidity and firmness, maybe it suits my style.
But I would like to give Uncle Thai cues a try.

Sunny : UT has been known locally on the shaft's playing quality, and the balance of his cue. His butt work is not that good, but well accepted by the locals, and many foreigners. He's 70 years old this year, and will be retiring very soon

I recently bought one of Uncle Thai's cues but have not been home yet to try it or even see it, just photos. See attached

I will write a review on it when I get the chance to see and use it. I must say Unclevit was a tremendous help in getting it made for me and I have trusted his judgement on this cuemaker totally.

      From Unclevit

"1. He will use local Black Wood for the 4 top splices (those attaching the shaft) - picked very nice piece of deep black exotic wood "DumDong".
      2. Middle 4 splices will be in Red woods, underneathed with another brighter red wood (not veneer).
      3. Butt 4 splices. Instead of using the same 'Dumdong' wood, which the maker comments that the total cue will look too dark (with top black and butt black), he picked woods with brown and dark patterns mixed (more exotic and rare than DumDong)."

So all up I am hoping for a very nice playing cue.... cant wait to see it.

      Thanks again Unclevit.

That looks really nice, biggus. I, for one, would be very interested in reading what you have to say when you'll actually have the cue and will have played with it. A review would be most appreciated.
