i used one for about 2 months. (playing uk 8 ball) they are extremely hard. its now on a 8mm cue thats used for breaking. i think the biggest thing i disliked about them was, i really like a good covering of chalk on my tip, they really didnt appear to hold the triangle chalk. in fact whilst using the tip i switched the chalk to the blue master chalk. it seemed to hold on the tip better. i liked the consistant hit, but it was the chalk that did my head in.

I used one for about 2 minutes (also uk8ball) and hated it. I also found there was a problem with holding chalk, and I use triangle chalk, too. A lot of guys I know who play carom or 3-, 4- or 5-cushion billiards use them but with a special, very greasy dark blue chalk whose name escapes me.
I like a soft tip, one that'll let you bite into the cue ball, and so this tip wasn't for me. However, if you like a hard, consistent tip, then you can do a lot worse.Il n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.

I was looking for a review of these tips and came across this topic so here a re my two cents:
I bought three o these Le Professionnel tips, in 10mm. I fitted one on my cue, cut it to match the ferrule diameter and shaped it/ gotta say it was hard to go down the tip as the tip is really hard. Took me a lot more time than usual to complete the fitting.
So I tried it yesterday night and so far, it's not bad. I've always used Elkies before so it's quite a big change. The stroke is clear, strong . It takes the spin correctly and contrary to other comments above, my tip was holding the chalk pretty well (even better than my old Elkie) but maybe it's because I really took off a good amount of leather on top of the tip. I don't like playing with a 5mm high tip....Need to go smaller. So the inner structure of the leather was holding the cue very well I have to say.
Now, this is all I can say so far as I play really bad last night, arm totally rubbish, couldn't pot a damn straight pot lol so tough to get a good idea on the tip but it looks correct to me.
I'll give you more info later, once I will have played several times with it.Ton Praram III Series 1 | 58" 18.4oz 9.4mm | ash shaft + 4 splices of Brazilian Rosewood | Grand Cue medium tips
