Where can be found canadian style snooker cues, like those used by Alain Robidoux and other canadian players? Any webpage or something like this? Currently I'm playing with a JP cue, and I made centuries with it, but I would like to try something new.
    Thanks!

Ask Terry Davidson or the montrealer on this forum, they may have something for you.

Good luck then. If you find by any chance Deroo's price being too steep, you can try to private message the montrealer or Terry Davidson, they may/will have some used Tom Gauthier or some very nice antique two piece cues for you.

Although I don't have any, I can definitely tell you the Montrealer (Leonard) does have some very fine Gauthier cues which I've seen and handled. He probably has some Marcel Jacques cues too, along with a few others like Brunswick Trophy cues.

I only have the standard 3/4-butt cues left with the exception of one experimental Schuler cue from the States which has both snooker and pool 'no throw' shafts plus a jump shaft, but I haven't even listed that one.

If you really want to experiment I can sell you the Schuler cue at a very decent price. PM me with your email if you want to see photos of it

                I gave you a PM.
My only reason I asked about that cues is even if I can play with any cue, and I improve my game, I don't fell confortable with any cue, and a canadian cue could be the answer. I tried Mastercraft, Mike Woolridge, Peradon, Mastercue, O'min, Acuerate (or it was a nightmare) and more... Now I'm playing with a JP (Ebony-Ash, 3/4, 19 oz, 10,5 talisman tip, 15,5 balance, 30mm butt ), wich was the only good one for me, but it gives me no confidence.

Most of these Canadian cues that are for sale are quite old, because Tom Gauthier has already passed a way a few years back. The wood used on his cues are usually quite well seasoned. If you like a 15.5 balance point you may like those every much.
Make sure you ask for the ferrule material--some of his cues come with other types of ferrules other than brass. And quite a few of them have a lacqured finish (finished with epoxy) on the butt, you may want to pay attention to that if you only like an oil finish. Tom Gauthier had also made some cues with oil finish.

You can email Montrealer (Leonard) at - Lennybilliards(at)aol(dot)com - and he should get back to you. I haven't talked to him in 6 months or so but he did have a selection of Gauthier and Brunswick Trophy cues at that time.

I have a small selection of cues too, mostly 3/4-butt with extensions and cases in case you're interested

Can you please let me know about your experience with the Acuerate cue. I was looking into purchasing their classic cue but would like some feedback.

                          Thx.

In my search for a new cue, I contacted Kevin Deroo about a 3/4 length cue. Unfortunately, the price was above my budget but he did indicate I would be looking at 12 weeks for manufacturing and delivery. I would suggest contacting him at his web site to ask and he answered my questions personally.

For what it is worth, I having been looking for a new cue for a few weeks now and them more I look, the more confused I am getting. Do you (or anyone else for that matter) have suggestions if I am looking to stay within $500 Cdn for a 3/4 length cue that will last me a number of years?

                              Thx.
