The third cue, with striped Red Wood. Thailand has similar pattern wood, but in medium brown surface and golden brown stripes colors, called Swirled Golden Teak Wood. I have seen one some 2 years ago. Difficult to find. UT has one made in a nice cue, but I think he sold it quite sometimes ago. I must have one too, but don't know when this wood will come my way. Your striped Red Wood is very nice. I am not a good player, so my cue needs to look good
Thanks to you, and thanks to google I can find it out later (if there is wood such as seminai in their search engine )
brandan147 : I used to go visit hobbithouseinc.com on woods, but can't get to this site anymore. Don't know why ? Maybe you can try some other times. Lots of woods information. Mostly on the Western and Central Asia, but not in S.E. Asia woods

Teak wood normally used for making chess sets, and mostly in found in South East Asian regions (including Malaysia). It is categorized as solid wood (it is a very2 hard timber) commonly used in flooring.
Hi everybody. This China made cues is just good for discussion only. Even if anyone of you striking any lottery or picking up $ from the roadside, pls do not buy any China made cues. Those Chinese is just a photocopy machine. Sucks..!!! And they can fake anything or everything just because of $. Somemore, they are not honest. Machine made claimed as handmade. Stupid....!!! Maybe they even produced this cues using the Diamond brand machine, also China made machine. My advise, in Western country, just use English-produced cues while Asian, just go for Thailand cues, at affordable price. PLS>>>No CHINA made cues.

Bro lk8, if you get to know or having business dealing with them, or purchasing anything from them through the catalogue, i can confirmed the products will be a HUGE different from what you expected. Or make it this way, try to order 1 for yourself, then only judge the quality of the cues, not by the pictures showing here. Lastly, it's still a 100% hand made cues, and they only use their hands for pressing the machine switches, ON/OFF. No hard feeling.

I understand what you mean, but I only agree 50%, to prove I know what you mean, you should search for the "Kevin Sharland" thread... lol... BUT to say "No China Made Cues", it's a bit over the top...
we start at the bottom end... budget Chinese cue (<50 pounds) is just that, rubbish...
at the top end, Chinese cues that are more expensive than TW, JP, MW (>400 pounds), does not appeal to anybody other than rich mainland people, which is the market they are/will target, which I also made a comment earlier in this thread...
But at the middle of the range, I've seen some real nice LP cues, and I've heard good things about B's...
Conclusion? Keep your mind open, there is always good and bad things from/in everything/country ie. not all Chinese cues are rubbish, ie. not all Singaporean is arrogant, ie. not all Malaysian are ignorant... you get the point...

Who's B here? Anyway, here is another link about Seminai wood. http://www.kalimantimber.com/productdetails.aspx?id=34
Locally, we call it BELIAN (which means diamond) and the name itself prove that this wood is the hardest wood in our planet.
Very2 rare species wild wood and so damn expensive in the open market...!!! It could take at least around 200years or more before the diameter reach as big as 1 meter.

Wow...wow..wow...bro...your comments are very2 "brave" here. Did you already have LK. T cue in your collection to make these statements here? Or you just have other China made cue in your collection now?
You have your right to give your opinions, but as Ik8 said, pls be open minded. Not all CHINA made is fake, I think.
I don't know, I never seen one in person and I can't find their website, but if you google it, you'll find a few second hand ones here and there, the name is "B's" or "BS"...
the only good cues that I've seen personally are from LP though... but I think you have to pay about > RMB2800 for the better ones... not sure how much that is for GBP...
