      How does the cue hit?
Are the bottom of the splices even. From the picture it does not appear to be so but I am not sure if it is just the camera angle...
      Anyway, nice cue...

Sorry brother4, but in this post I did not mean that you were a goose. I don't think that at all. Sometimes in english the word "you" actually refers to everyone. In this case it referred to anyone who might consider paying the full price.

You yourself would know very well that in most dealings, chinese sellers start with a higher price expecting to be talked down.
        Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

I own 1 and saw 2-3 lkt before, all evenly splices.
About the cue hit... sorry very hard to tell you, I think it's all a matter of personal taste, for me I totally agree "Unclevit" one of the member here, (A good cue for PLAY A may not be good for PLAY B, all down to PERSONAL TASTE
My LK.T for me , superior in raw materials selecting and the playability is superb!

I would like to take this opportunity, to let all of you know , I'm not a seller , I just want to share the info about cue to all of you.

I know next to nothing about cues from China, so please bear with me.
This LK.T cue is not made in the same place as L.P. cues, is that right? There are so many of these names made up of initials from china and they get a bit confusing.
How is the shaft wood quality?
Is it true what another poster said, that you were quoted a high offer which you were expected to counter when you purchased your cue?
The logo on the badge looks really like the flag of Hong Kong, is that intentional? Is that wehre the cue was made?
            Thank you.

              very funny this post.

the average income currently in china is just over $4500 per annum and you think they are going to be buying cues at $2000 plus !!!! anybody who buys one of these is totally mental.

further more anyone who has a grand to spend on a cue can get in touch with me and i will arrange for a top uk maker to make you a cue better than ANY cue ever made in china.

Andrew.... very reasonable assessment of an unreasonable social economy.
Economic disparity between rich and poor in China is, as impossible as it may seem, even worse than in the USA. Sad.

yes but look at it this way - i live in rural perthshire home of shooting fishing and the super rich - it is one of the wealthiest parts of the world and even here people would laugh if you tried to charge £1000 plus for a cue.

Of course they'd laugh mate... wasn't it two Scotsmen who invented copper wire whilst arguing over a penny?
However, Deroo cues are selling for £1000 plus in Hong Kong.

I think Canadian $1000+ is more like it.

Let's not forget living standard in Hong Kong is much higher than that of an average small city in China.

I do agree that there has to be a lot of very wealthy people in China who would not think twice spending $1000+ on a cue though. For a country like China, I would imagine there are some filthy rich and some miserably poor. The filthy rich who cannot speak English and do not know anything about UK snooker cues may think buying a high end LK.T cue for $2000 is a cool thing.

Deroo and Lk.T are not exactly the same thing in my opinion.

Put it this way: If I try to sell you a used cue made in China for $1000+ you would probably think I am taking you for a mark and tell me to fu*k off; but if I come to you with a used Deroo for $1000+ you may either feel sorry for me thinking I was a mark who got ripped off, or if you like the cue, you may consider buying it.

For me , I think the price of LK.T's top model is too high.
Normally, the serious players just go for the price of RMB6000-7000 (about GBP 600)
LK.T based on Beijing ,LP based on Cantonese, there are big different of both.
One day,you go to Beijing, let me know , I will arrange you visit LK.T, and talk with Mr.Tsang.

I have to admit I do not know much about cues made in China, so, it is very much appreciated that you have posted pictures of the Chinese higher end cues here.

All I have really seen are the ones on ebay such as Kevin Sharland, Mark Amazon...

                                Thank you for the pictures.
This picture is much clearer than the one shown a while ago by Brother 4.
I believe these intarsia style LK.T cues are done with CNC inlays. I am sure the diamond shape inlays on the handle are as you can clearly see the round edges at the corners of the diamonds, which is round due to the size of the mill. Very interesting to see a 9 ball cue concept being employed in the decoration of snooker cues. I have seen some Deroo snooker cues with inlays before but I have to admit I am not a big fan of those and these Lk.T are much better executed IMO. They probabaly have some state of the art computerized equipment in their shop.
What about the extension sockets? Are those wood plugs at the end of the cues to be removed to accept the extensions?
Can you see the scales if you look at the cue from the very bottom?
