Australia has some Very Very good cue makers that not many people know about, even Australians. Probably because of all the kangaroos and walabys getting in the way of our bush telegraphs. Zac's cues are very good from what i hear. Any Aussies prepared to back me up?
yeh compeltely agreed. peter hanley does good job too. and i played with a cue from a maker down at geelong, very fine handcrafted cue indeed. although, i heard some of them went to the UK and learnt from some of the best. although, on the cheap spectrum, (under 150 dollars AUS) id easily go for a chinese cue. even an ebay one. cheap cues here are shocking. they make their own cues down at astra billiards, and edie charltons, and the quality is beyond shocking. half cues, no matching grains, just feel horrible to play with. id go with a cheap chinese ebay cue for same price before buying from those guys. they hav no idea wat theyre doing.. lol

Why not start up new thread about Aussies cuemakers and promote them in TSF? I'm sure loads of potential buyers from Asia region. Myself included.

Don't get angry boss...let us see this in a positive way. If LK.T want his business going around the globe, perhaps he should know the type of the wood in Scientific name, at least. Hope you can inform him about this...

                No offense intended.

brendan : Don't know exactly, but I think it's the Red Patterned Pradoo Wood. Hee Hee, I picked the wood myself without knowing it. A project by one member. Not with UT sorry
                  It's in the Shaft

Wow...I think this wood is also good to replace the thick maple veneer for my project cue with UT. What do you think? The price still the same? Is it a hardwood species?

Can Do, but perhaps wait a week more from normal 2 weeks production time. Add US$15. Nice pattern is slow to find
