he bought his cue from alcocks(australias oldest billiard company) for 600 australian and the guy who sold it to him told him, the cue was originally made in thailand, and rebadged elsewhere. i have a look at the cue, and everything on the cue looks like an uncle thai cue. the splicing on the shaft is the same length. the joint is an Omin airlock joint. the splicings on the butt are the same size as splicing on my cue. the large ones anyways. and the small flat face on the butt is the exact same size aswell. how many people cut their butts the same size? another thing on closer inspection is that the glue used on the ferrule, stains the wood close to the ferrule a very light brown. i have not seen this coloration on ferrules often, as i do a LOT of peoples tips. i think he might b playing with an old uncle thai cue. lol theres a possibility right? and he told me the reason he bought the cue was that it was such well balanced, and forward weighted (arnd 17.5 inches) and that was also the first thing he noticed about my cue. he picked it up and said it was so well balanced he couldnt believe i got such a well weighted cue (altho too light for him) for that price. i found it interesting :P but i guess we'll never really know now will we! =]
