If that was a one of a kind cue I can maybe justify the price but if it was one of many cues then no way is the asking price of around 1500+ quid justifiable.

if this cue was not hand entirely hand made then ditto to my above sentiments and I do suspect that the scaly effect was machine made and if that was the case then it is simply two sinusoidal patterns running perpendicular to one another. And if machine made then ordinary splicing would take longer. I could illustrate how this is done.

credit must go to the maker for originality but like I said if the cue was not entirely handmade and not unique then I cannot justify the price of 1500 + quid

I think it's very nice indead but I would never pay £1500 for any cue.
                    I wouldn't pay half that.
                    Splices don't pot balls.
If you like it and money is no issue then why not. Very clever and interesting design.

It is a very nice and clever design. But I would only pay 400GBP max. The grains on the shaft is too faint and not even.

Gotta agree with Watford. If you are into cues from a collectors point of view or purely based on the aesthetics then fair enough, I can understand there is a market for people willing to part silly money but for most semi serious players then the play-ability of the cue is the most important factor and no cue IMO is worth more than £300 from that point of view.

A piece of art. Must be very very expensive. He should find a nicer Ash arrows/grains to compliment the butt beauty.
                            It's in the Shaft

i would rather pay £300/£500 on a plain ebony cue thats got a very good shaft and plays well. than pay 1500 on a fancy butt which at the end of the day looks good but might play crap. plus whats already been said fancy splicing doesnt help you become an better player or pot the balls. looks good but in my view totaly pointless
