I've never had dealings with him personally, but there are lots of horror stories floating around about the way he does "business" - as usual, it depends on who you talk to ...

            Hi Noel,

You seem very angry, has he also taken monies of you and not replied or given you goods?

                Well here's another one!!
                • Ordered a cue over the phone with a £100 deposit.
                • Malcom Jones said yes we can turn this around in 8weeks (this was end of June).
                • 10weeks had passed and the season has started and I called him and emailed him, nothing for 3weeks..
                • I finally got hold of him. I said "if the there is no cue could you send me some tips, pocket leathers, something to the £100", He agreed!
                • Malcom Jones owner of burroughesandwatts said "I'll get back to you about the status of the cue"
                • 10days later I phoned and he fobbed me off and turned it around saying that I don't want the cue.. I said "I want a cue but if its not even being made then forget it and give me something else that you advertise on the burroughesandwatts site".
                • Its the end of October and "nothing"

Ouch! Yip, that's the sort of thing I'd heard of, unfortunately - promising short lead times, and then taking 3, 4 or more months before delivering. He's also supposed to be difficult to get hold of when it suits him, but always there when you have to give him money (funny that!), and he tells porkie pies too often. Not very professional, IMO.

I reckon you should turn up on his doorstep, if it's practical for you, or even if it isn't, and don't leave until you have the cue, or the £100 back. That's what I would do, anyway.

                  Good luck!

P.S. You don't have any particularly big mates who can just hang around looking mean, do you? That generally works a treat.

No... and no. Just confused about what you were talking about mate.

Sorry you should have troubles like that. Keith offers good advice.
