and with how many one piece cues have you played before to compare with? and with how many jointed ones that felt remarkably different from one piece cues?
yes, of course. it LOOKS (more) like a one piece. but playing wise...
most like one piece cues for the looks, the fact that there's no joint to deal with or similar things... but all SAY they feel better too. which has been discussed many times, with no result. a specific cue might feel right or wrong to you, independent of the fact whether it's jointed or not.
many say that even the best player would not be capable to tell you if it's a one piece or jointed cue when trying cues out in a double-blind trial.
Well i have a 3/4 mw i had a tw 1 piece and i have the shark with the new joint and i do feel it is more like a 1 piece than his 3/4 thats why i said it in the review.
Some people might not notice the difference but i bet if you were to poll the people on this site whether they would use a 1 piece or a 3/4 or a 1/2 joint on the feel of a cue they would mostly go for the 1 piece.
Like i said the review was my opinion on the cue and joint.
yes, I'd go for the one piece myself. My MW cue felt good before (jointed), and now, as mike's replaced the joints with the new model, it feels good too. but I would just be lying if I pretended 'It feels like a one piece now more than before'. That's just impossible to say.
every cue feels different. many people would go for the one piece, but they could not tell you if a (good) cue is jointed or not when testing it with eyes closed (and not touching for the joint, do avoid dumb answers )

You test your cues with your eyes closed! lol
You know what you need to do is get mike to make you three cues one with the old joint a 1 piece and one with the new airtwist all balanced and weighted the same then tell everybody if there is a difference.
Or you could let me have my opinion that the cue i got was closer to a 1 piece than i have felt before
Play with the MW cue (old joints), have them replaced and....
it played well before and does so now. It feels good. I can't tell you 'HOW CLOSE' to a one piece it feels. because there is no given exact point of 'one piece feeling' that a cue should be as close to as possible...
