Sanman drop the IQ line it doesn't work.
I've got a mate with a phd and his IQ is so high he can only get a score on a special test. The flip side is he's daft as a brush; he can barely tie his own shoe laces
Plus I kill him in the pub quiz.
Bottom line is it's horses for courses. I've got a phone recording of me over taking an Aston in a Lambo on a track day but I wouldn't want it over an Aston. I think the Aston nicer to own and better on the road, even if not as quick.
I like Maserati and Alfa though so what do I know.
The Alfa dealer is sick of seeing me in tears at the latest bill he's handing me
I might go for the M5 over the Jag as it's a bit of an old man's car.
Second thought I'd kill myself in either. My mates got an M5 I $h1t it every time I'm in it.
See Top gear last night seemed quite apt?
Ferrari, Lambo and Aston on the grand tour.

This thread is funny.
sanman, your IQ is bigger than your wallet, but seeing as you are cheaper than a Thai hooker, that isn't very impressive.
This thread is just part of the crusade you started a couple of months ago criticising people for buying expensive cues.
Now you have purchased a couple of cheap Thai cues, you are back on here posting about how they are the best cues in the World, and guess what, you only paid 100 bucks for them.
Look how impressed everyone is....
People are happy you found a cue you enjoy, but when you start posting your pathetic diatribe about how they are better than anything made by the top cue makers, it's no wonder you get laughed at.

actually what i said was you were a fool - a statement you have gone on to prove entirely correct - as for giving me a fat lip proverbial or otherwise you are out of your depth. regardless of this though i am afraid i am too busy just now to get into your childish nonsense so for once will bow out.

cues don't come any better than this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...STRK:MESELX:IT
and yes the best cues in the world are all still made in the uk.

I think what is the best is really subjective, and it also depends on the knowledge, taste, experience, background...of the person making the judgement. You cannot change peoples' minds overnight.
But it is always worth a try in making an attempt to educate others on why you believe something is the best.
A person who does not really know any better may think his BCE is the best...if you tell him he is wrong he will simply get offended. But he may come around if you explain to him in details why these other cues are better and are worth the extra money.
Of course, some people are simply too stubborn to listen; nevertheless, as I always believe the forum is there for sharing and learning, I would assume anyone coming here would come with an open mind and the desire to learn more about cues, technique, rules...etc.
I know I have learn a lot since I have become a member and I wish the same for others.Last edited by poolqjunkie; 16 November 2009, 08:25 PM.

point taken.
let me simplify the cues thing though. if the imported cues were of the same quality as the uk made cues i would be dealing in them - i personally can't wait until the chinese are making cracking cues but i can tell anyone for sure that as yet they don't because every few months i import a dozen or so from different makers just to see and i am also in constant contact with most other dealers and word would spread fast. other than the UK, thailand is the only country that makes decent cues and even they are not always as good as they should be. your perspective if very different if you buy 40 at a time and have to make the repairs.

Everyone says Thai cues are cheap but I actaully dont think the top ones such as Unique are that much cheaper.
Then if I see something much cheaper I would wonder why is it so, as I am sure in Thai lots of players know the difference between a good cue and a bad one.
