  • Fedia's trick

Beware of the conman "Fedia" selling a Hunt & Osbourne Green Plate cue in eBay at £650.00.

The same cue was purchased by his wife called "alesia55" on 08 Oct 2009 from eBay at £295.00.

Hope all members see this thread will not fall into his dirty trick.

Fedia is well known on here now. He sells things for more than they cost to originally buy due to not having to wait to recieve the cue. Hes not a conman per se, he does like to big up his listings though. But hes selling these cues to somebody so you can't really blame him for carrying on.

another trick they try is to threaten you with negative feedback" as the cue is not as described" and try to get you to give a refund/credit. in my case they wanted a £40 refund.i refused them the reduced price but agreed to credit THE CUE only, if returned, which they did and they lost the cost of carriage both ways totalling about £25!!!! this was as "alesia 55"

        I don't see a trick here?

        Man A: sells good
        Man B: buys good
Man B: sells good at higher price and makes a profit...............

Hi Jonny, you missed the point and forgot the end buyer.
          Man A: sells good
          Man B: buys good
Man B: sells good at higher price and makes a profit...............
Man C: buys bad and feeling like a fool after realize hes paying the unfair high price.

            You've also missed a point

you see a chocolate bar for 50p
would you buy the chocolate bar for £10?
            probably no

if you do, you deserve to feel bad

The person buying the 10 pound chocolate bar is entitled to fell hard done by... But if there are people out there are willing to spend 10 pound on a chocolate bar then why should you try and sell it for 50p?
I see Fedias side here, and can't really argue if it works... It's just the way he does business that annoys me. Bigging up his listings with professional names and things.

                Rob...
                I agree with you.
If taking advantage of stupid people was a crime the government wouldn't still be on the loose.

We're talking about the "moral" issue here, it's the intention of Fedia trying to rip-off other people that we should discourage & condemn.
You probably forgot that many oversea buyers are not familiar with the actual cue price(unlike the common commodity such as chocolate), it's necessary for us to remind them the truth instead of watching them end up as a victim and laugh at them.
No mean to offen you, assume someone trys to seduce your wife and start a affair, which party is the guilty one? Would you put all the blame on your wife and accuse her just being stupid? I doubt it...

Ebay is an auction site incase u dont know. You bid up to what you want to pay, if you bid enough you win, if someone else wants it more they bid more than you and they win. So you set yor own price which must be fair cos you have set it!

This guy is obsessed with Ronnie O'Sullivan! every single cue he sells he drops his name! what a whopper!

End of the day if you are daft if you pay over the odds for a cue he is a businessman or clearly close to the trade due to the vast number of cues he has wonder if the HMRC know about this! he hee!!!!

equally if there are people willing to buy this cue for 500 when it can be bought for 200, why should fedia sell it for 200?

Absolutely. Value is by definition what someone is willing to pay.

Clever man, this is the auction and you pay what you think to be your budget.
