maybe they had just put a higher max bid in than you... quite normal for ebay and is how it all works...

later. my friend and i bidded, and got outbidded every single time.

I'm thinking to put a bid on this cue 2, but the seller seems not 2 keen to show the whole view of shaft (???)... judge the pictures from the eBay, the shaft & arrows does not look like the cue is black plate at all, and in my own view, it's not worth 830 pound.
