if you like the cue then thats what matters, not the name or badge on it and why change to something you cant try at argos etc and may not like one bit???

dont set your heart on a particular cue, a cue will find you rather than the other way round

I know the other models in their ranges are oiled and waxed, so i'd assume these ones are too. You could always send them an e-mail to make sure.

Hi Monkey, hold off before you do anything hasty (like buy a crap cue fromn Argos!) The best cues in UK for quality AND value are Cue Craft. They range from £30 upto £400 for the dogs dangly bits with all the add-ons.. Depending on where you live, I may be able to get you a new tip and ferrule done on your exisiting cue. Contact me direct at cueist@genie.co.uk and I'll give you further details. This is something I could possibly arrange for in first week of Jan. (I live in Joe Davis land i.e. Chesterfield)) Further to this there's gonna be a massive 2 day snooker and pool sale in early Feb. at NE Derbyshire Snooker Centre, Clay Cross, Chesterfield whre you will have the opportunity to try out and purchase cues, cases and accessories. I'll send you details and post them on TSF when the date as been confirmed (prov. Sat 6th and Sun 7th Feb 2010.) See if that might be a day out for you with your parents and they can see you trying the cues before you buy one. Hope this helps and please do e-mail me as I travels throughout Lancs, Yorks, Lincs etc. if you need to get your existing cue to me for a new ferrule and tip... Dave

Can you give me any reason that you are posting everywhere on the forum that CueCraft cues are the best cues ever... Apart from the fact you are selling them???
The "Triumph" model I think it is ADR said was a very good model but I am not sure about the others. Can't comment on recently but all the cue crafts ive seen in recent years have been rubbish.

Because if you compare a hand spliced Parris or cue from some other manufacturers you'll generally get a lot more cue, in terms of quality for the equivalent money from Cue Craft. Sure, that's my opinion, but I have been playing for a long time and dealt with a lot of cues. Yes, the Triumph models are very good, but the Sherwoods, Barons, Royal Standards and Monarchs are also excellent. For the record I play with a Parris 3/4 Ultimate cue, so I know how good these are, but again, it's my firm belief that Cue Crafts own range are real good value for money in comparison. Hope that helps... Excuse my ignorance (I'm new on here), but who is ADR?

He is selling some of the cheaper cue crafts atm on ebay, they are not his usual type of cue, his usual collection is more like Trevor White, Parris etc.
I don't know if they have improved recently, I have not seen one for a while it is just the models I have come across in the last few years were kinda average, and you would be better off with craftsman, Welshpool trading, mastercraft etc.
But they may have improved recently I do not know.

Yeah had a quick look. It's all 'horses for courses' The 2 and 3 piece cues with a case he's selling at £46.99 plus postage (or one at £39.99 plus post) are well over-priced. My local club sells them at £30. These are imported cues. The Triumph is UK made, and comes with good extensions, but again the price is heavy. Wil send details of forth-coming sale later for the benefit of members, as have some interesting items collected through the years e.g. signed stuff, pictures, free-standing racks etc... Cheers and good night, Dave cueist@genie.co.uk

edit: not cue craft... Mastercue! Thai made i think but look lovely cues

i ordered a victor burr 9.25mm tip 18.5oz and 57.5" length. They were completely out of stock so they offered me the Master Cue for £75 which isn't on the website but if you go onto the master cue website i think its one of the ones from this link http://www.mastercue.th.com/th/index...id=8&Itemid=23 the tm1a model i believe, oil and wax finish same as all craftsmen cues. Its up to you really, either wait a few weeks or take a gamble on one of these but to be honest, cant see craftsmen ripping you off, if they charge £75 it must be a decent cue

Just try every cue and pick the one you like best. Bear in mind no two cues play exactly the same even though they may look identical. So just pick the one you feel most comfortable with.
