  • Time for a new cue -Trevor White or Mike Wooldridge

Morning All , I would like your opinion on which cue maker is better.

I am currently using a Robert Osborne bespoke snakewood [4 splices ] cue.

    Need a change.

I've found Mike's website but any ideas how you go about buying a Trevor White Cue.

I've just joined the forum and read a number of articles regarding Trevor White but i would like to know if he has a website [assume not reading articles] .Would like to know how to contact him , prices and average time of manufacturer of a new cue.

    Looking for a 19oz - 20oz cue with mini butt + extension.

    Thanks very much

As for which one to go with, well they both make brilliant cues, so go with which ever one you fancy.

One thing.... If "its time for a new cue" means you want it fairly soon bare in mind you will have to wait a while for the top makers... Especially Trevor who is in the order of months.

MW : At least 2 months to wait for a new cue finish
TW : Have to wait longer than MW's cue (around 6 months)

Price range for both cuemakers are almost the same. Both are top notch. So which one do you go for?....PEACE TO TO YOU BRO...Happy New Year

MW's cue cost more than Trevor.

I think i will go for MW cue , as i read his web site and he may have custom cues in stock. Says it takes about 10 days to finish them.

What do you expect a "custom cue in stock" to be?
That doesn't make sense, as far as I know...

That's what i thought ...but if you read his web site it states that they may have 'part made custom cues in stock ' and 'it takes 5 - 10 days to finish / customize to your preference. I know i might not get exactly what i want but i willing to compromise slightly. Can't do anything until he updates his web site.

Mike will probably have some shark butterfly spliced cues in stock (butterfly spliced for approx 160) but i wouldn't hold my breath on anything else tbh. You might be lucky though. His shop is still closed for xmas for now.

Thanks for that mate. Any idea what the main difference is between Shark & Custom.

Is it just down to the quality of the Grain?

                        Thanks

                            Neil,

What happened to your RO cue anyway? Is it still in good condition?
