New cue advice

RGC, my avatar should be a moving image like yours, but it didn't. How did you do yours? What type of format/file did you use? Thanks.

Ja. made mine from my photos I took at the Steve Davis exhibition in Chester
But if its off the internet you should just be able to save it in .gif format and then upload it as your avatar, or enter the web address drectly to the picture on the internet.

Craftsman classic machine spliced as i suggested in the other thread. Much much much better than rileys... I'd rather play with a tree branch than every riley i've used... At least they arn't varnished
If your mates mean rileys as in the kind you get from argos then you'll get a painted cue covered in varnish.

This is good advice, stick to machine spliced in that price range there are some really good cues out there. Try and find one with a nice natural finnish, I find this is where some lower end cues are naff. They get all sticky afetr a while. Peradon makes good cues for that price range.
