  • fake parris on ebay??...please advise

hi, just looking for a second opinion on a cue on ebay. A friend of mine is looking for a parris cue on ebay for a while and come across this one cheap..

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280444815108

ive advised him that i belive it to be a fake/replica parris cue as the plaque definatley doesnt look like a genuine Parris item does it??? also the butt of the cue doesnt look like something parris would produce

    thanks in advance

    james

Try compare to the original JP badge, you'll see the difference.

Yes very suspect as badge does not look like same lettering as my Parris Ultimate.. On the flip side he's got 100% feedback, although only as a buyer, but if you look through his feedback he has purchased a new cue from one of the 'cheap chinese' cue sellers on E-bay... Think this cue is wolf in sheeps clothing...

Agree..There are many imitation cues from everywhere these days that looks like the original ones.(http://originalomin.com/2009/07/30/h...-by-jc/)-Maybe this could help a little.
Better be careful when buying cues, if your friend is looking for JP cues I think some seller are selling them at TSF, check them out or better still get from JP himself.
                Cheers.

It's very similar in design to this one from that seller - not identical but close

Also you'd have to wonder why he bought a cue so recently if his "misses" had just got him one for Christmas.

                    Steer well clear.

Cant see that happening, obviously looks wrong if you know, shame no way of getting to the buyers to warn them. Why dont you inform ebay its a fake and they might withhold/refund money ?
