nice bit of cue porn there guys
            NO, NO, NO.

You have to learn to bargin with them, otherwise you'll keep getting done over by the other half.

It's if you want to go on holiday this year darling, then i NEED £XXX for a new cue.

Remember, always start much higher and then you can come down in price to the one you actually want. I.E. the new cue i NEED is £700 (when it's actually £500) then you can haggle and say well i suppose i can make do with the one at £500.

Either that or just stick x away in a bank account every month and then buy it with out her knowing the cost.

            LOL.

Having found myself being bitten by the hugely infectious snooker bug recently, I am looking at getting a bit more serious about the game. I have been using an old "Alex Higgins" 2 piece cue that my dad gave me years ago, but it is a little warped and as I have only been playing once a month (or even less) I can't say that I would miss it. I am looking at getting myself a new cue, though I am reluctant to pay more than around the £30 mark.

What would I be missing out on if I buy myself an "off-the-shelf" cue in this price range. The majority of the cues I like seem to be Riley or BCE. I was thinking of buying one, once I've decided which and then fitting a new talisman tip.

              http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...NOOKER+CUE.htm

This is my favourate at the minute though it's hard to buy from a place like argos as you cant hold the cue and get a feel for it first. There are no weights specified so I can't see which cue is "light" or "heavy" etc..... I have no idea of the weight I'm looking for, but if I was to pick 2 cues up at the snooker club, I will always prefer the lighter of the 2.

              What's your general thoughts?

              Thanks
              Paul
