    I believe its a 11mm tip on a 10mm ferrule. And you hit the nail on the head... Its a mushroom tip...
    Just glue it on and don't bother cutting it to size, hey presto mushroom tip

      He must rip a lot of tips like that. I know that when I used to let my tip mushroom, it was always ripping.

          Loads of people play with mushroom tips, I think the most common thing to do is to put a 10mm tip on a 9.5mm ferrule. But Fergal O'Brien is another pro who uses an 11mm tip on a 10mm ferrule.
          In theory the bigger the tip the less accurate you have to be so as not to put any unwanted side on the white. However some people think having too large a tip limits the ammount of spin you can impart on the ball.

          Personally I find 10mm to be a good compromise however it is personal opinion.
