Custom made parris paragon cue

I'm looking for a John Parris cue on ebay and saw this one:

I'm not sure if it is a genuine John Parris cue or not John Parris personalised plaque usually have JOHN PARRIS letter and the persnoalize name in the middle, am I right? Please advise or comment. Thanks...:snooker:

Does not look like a JP cue to me but I can't tell you why.
Who would choose a nemplate with just the name and not "John Parris" with name?
But it looks quite nice as far as it is visible on that bad pictures out of focus.

I saw this and didn't like the look of it, in terms of authenticity.

I'm no expert but it's something I would avoid unless the doubts were cleared up.

I personally do not think that it is a JP Cue it looks like a good one but just not by JP.

Some blur photos, a smaller badge placed in the wrong place, the joint is a bit longer...I think it is good

This cue looks true to me! The splicing is to good to be a fake and JP will put
anything you like on the badge !

It looks find to me(splicing looks nice), if you really considering this cue.
Its best you ask the owner to take clearer picture or get in touch with JP.

I'd still check with Parris if it's OK.
Not worth risking, plus you could ask for a price to rebadge it for you while your at it.

Yeah.. Many imitations stuff nowadays.Better be careful not to fall in their trap.

copies are more likely to be sold new, and with a fake badge. From the pictures it looks the quality of an old JP , seller has an honest record, could be wrong of course but I've got a hunch that one is real..

Thanks for all your helpful advice. I've decided to skip this one:
Reason 1 - This cue is only 8 months old but without the original receipt.
Reason 2 - The seller refused to replace the badge even at buyer's cost, this make me more suspecious in terms of authenticity.
Reason 3 - When closely look at the picture of butt/splicing, the distinctive John Parris's red (glue) marks is missing.
