  • Hendry has a new one!

    Hi all,

just wondering if anybody has inside info on Stephens new cue? As soon as i saw it, I thought that is never an Acuerate Cue, but what do I know. The Commentators mentioned it being new also, after I had already seen that it isn't his usual cue may I add.

    Any info would be great!

    Thanks,

    Brian

If you remember from when Chris tested our cues the two John Parris cues on the day had the least deflection and equaled The Acuerate cue, so going on that Hendry has made a good choice in changing cues.

Depends if he had one of those or just a random cue of JP's rack which deflects loads

Poor Poor acuerate sales will drop surely
Then again everyone thinks JP is the only cuemaker in the world so people will probably be telling us hendry uses an acuerate for the next few years

Hendry played pretty well with it to be fair, far better than he has shown with the acuerate. Interesting why he ditched the other JP cue he had, at least he won a tournament with that, he won nothing with the low deflection wonder.

He probably has the same design for sentimental reasons. I believe the accurate was based on his original powerglide too.

                      JP ENVY!

I think for us lads over 40, who need all the help we can get with our play,
Hendry's amazing improvement today co-incident with his new cue may help John Parris become today's biggest winner!

                      =o)

Hendry never won a tournament with his accuerate at all, is that right?
Acuerate is made in China. I always feel that no matter what they try, the shaft wood on these Asian cues are never good enough. At least I have never seen one that plays nice--they are either extremely stiff or too whippy.
I am glad to see Hendry playing better with his new cue.
I can see why he switched to Accuerate in the first place though, probably because he was not playing well and was trying to see if a new cue could help.
Who is next to switch ot a JP...may be Marco Fu?

Good to see him trying a new cue, shows that he is still keen to improve and get back his form if nothing else. I would be more worried if he just did nothing and accepted his poor results.

That said, I don't think that the cue is the problem particularly, nor do I expect him to dramatically improve because of it.

jesus if he played like that with a cue hes had a few days he could be a force again ???

dont know about that but what i do know that was the best ive seen hendry play for 5 or 6 years easy.

he looked so good in the balls and he made the balls dance to his tune....yes long game was avarage and safety was poor but it was encouraging sighns especially in breakbuilding where that part of his game been poor of late.
