  • Tip Size For Snooker

    Hi

I am new to this forum.

I need a new tip for my cue, i will probably get a talisman pro soft. I like a hard tip. I have a 9mm tip now and was wondering if I should get a bigger tip (9.5 or 10mm).

It will be used mainly for snooker.

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

It's all down to which ever suits you.

If you do go fit a new tip and don't trim it down flush with your ferrule it would be known as having a mushroom tip, the same as people like Peter Ebdon uses.

The major downside to having an oversized tip is playing shots tight on the cushion can be tricky.
