  • Storage of cue

I heard that when not playing it is best to keep your cue case stored upright opposed to laying it down horizontal. Supposedly it helps to keep your cue straight longer....

Is this true? does anyone know?

I dont think it matters too much. You can hang it up when you are not using it if you are worried.
I would say the condition the cue/case is subjected to is more important than whether the case is flat or upright.
I actually think putting the cue flat is better if you really want to be technical.

Putting the cue flat is the way to prevent it from bending. Of course the condition of the cue case matters as well, it shouldn't be wet as a a rain forest

If its a metal case doesn't really make any difference.
Rare, but I have heard stories of people storing leather / wooden cases at an angle against a wall and the whole case (with the cue inside) warping over a long period.
Just don't leave it near a heat source like a radiator, I keep mine flat just to be on the safe side
