  • Good cue wanted

    Hi,

I am looking to purchase a cue
Preferably a TW, MW or JP

I am not very stubborn on the specifications
A 9.5 mm tip is and a little heavy cue is what i need

If anyone wants to sell his cue please let me know

PS : I live in India
I can pay via paypal or a friend of mine can pay locally in UK

    My email is abhi147.vs@gmail.com

    Go this thread:-

Hopefully the cue is still available. If you want to PM him, you need at least 10 posts in TSF before you can do so.

Hope this helps and good luck with the cue hunting.

    Cheers.

You need to tell your budget range here so it would be easier for other TSF members to give you suggestions based on your requirements.

Alternatively, PM/e-mail adr147 for more options of TW cue. He has plenty of them in his stock.

Yeah my first thought was approaching ADR but he is in france i guess due to some family crisis
Dont want to disturb him at this moment

My budget is about 350 pounds + shipping

How are JP cues compared to Mikes or Trevors cue any idea?
I can also order a JP champion as they have it in stock and quite similar to my specs

Many TSF members said that both MW and TW are best cuemakers so far by reputation, and JP is no match for these 2 great brands.

Robin Cook and Hunt&Osborne also top notches. But I will recommend you to go for Dan Shelton. His ID here in TSF is totlxtc.

            Cheers.

Yeah I spoke with Dan. Nice and helpfull fellow

              I had just one confusion

Can you tell me are old JP cues better than new ones?
Any logic why an old cue could be more expensive than a new one
By old I mean 10-15 years

Wont the cue become a bit sticky and dirty looking as it grows old?

Sorry mate...I don't have any JP cue, neither old nor new...so I can't answer this. BTW, with your budget of £350 including delivery, I think your best option is Dan Shelton.

He is a top notch too (as far as I concern since I became TSF member) even making cue is just as his hobby.

If it was treated right it will become nicer over the years.

Old JP cues were mainly made by John Parris himself and founded his good reputation.
New JP cues are also very good but it is said that it is a bit of a gamble to get a nice one as there are some more people involved in cue making at JP.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

                    Ya,

Check out my old John Parris Professional & special shaft.
It is periodically maintained with oil.
