thats exactly my point. people forget the reality of it, and that is, that they are just expensive sticks used to poke balls around a table. you can get cues made from ANYWHERE that feel great. to be honest, having a cue with NO badge on it, just points out how moronic people are. ive had a few Pro's pick up my cue, had a feel, hav a hit, and are overwhelmed with how well balanced and good it feels. ive also had complete moronic amateurs pick it up, look at it, and tell me "you got ripped off if you paid more than 80 bux for it" thinking, just because it uses Omin Airlock joints, that it is a cheap replica from china. having said that, it just comes down to how it feels FOR YOU. and thats where my personal experience comes in and i say, ive played with a handful of english cues, and so far have not been overly impressed. sure, they look pretty at times, with their jet black ebony, but its a waste of wood, if the cue itself doesnt play that well and isnt finished off well. considering the amount of cues Omin produce a year, their overall quality and control of it is fantastic value for money. 1Lawyer, try thinking outside the box for a change, and then maybe one day stepping out of it.

Why do you say that Air-lock joints are rubbish. I think an air-lock joint is the best.
They are certainly better then a Parris, or TW joint. And the MW cue maker has a
type of air-lock joint, and alot of people seem to love his product, and he is a
English cue maker so that would make 1Lawyer happy!

I have beaten sooo much players that're using cues like john party, hO'le me, Hunt & Osaboma, fastercue, balakumar and powerkite when im using a china handmade or house cue, be it machine or hand finished!
One thing for sure.. after using an O'min cue, i will not go back to china cues! My cue was down due to the defected tip, people ask me play guess what, i rather don't... don't know why...Will those snookies im playing with ever stop calling me a 'ONE-pointer for a day!

Hi eaoin11: I for one would be interested in any negative or postive feedback you have on the English cue makers, it would be helpfull for anyone deciding to buy a cue. Like I said
I like my O'min cue over the Parris and the TW. I have never had a MW but if you listen
to alot of people including the cuemaker he say's he makes the best cue in the world.
As anyone would know such a comment is rubbish. Unless he has tried every other cue makers
product in the world
Looking foward to your feedback

can beat anyone. I am not sure if you have answered the question regarding
a good cue. You seem to suggest that most of the cue makers in the world
are crap? So what cue do you use? or is there anyone cue made in the world
that you like? If you don't like O'min what is it you don't like about it or the
other cue's you mention.

I gave O'min 7 out of 10. I am not saying they are bad, some are very good and if you like them fair enough.
Not as good as British makers like Hunt and Oz, Parris, T White, Stamford, Glover, D Coutts, NW cues or a few others are they, lets be fair...:snooker:

Cheap, nice looking and comparable on price but no-where near as good as the British made market leaders and because of the mass produced way they make them they will not overtake them for now.
7/10 :snooker:
