  • sourcing quality ash

    I need a few lenghts of quality ash and I would like to know of any such suppliers. Maple suppliers info would be welcomed too. Any info would be welcomed

    Have you found a cue maker? By the way Keith Brewer is in Nelspruit at present and he will be playing in Davids comp.Cheers.

      sanman : if the opportunity allows, try to find the 'white maple' blanks from the rockies, USA. Omin will use it in his most expensive Universe design.

        Problem here in South Africa is that sourcing woods/imported etc is difficult.

          I do know David Anderson but I do not know Keith Brewer. I wish i could make it to davids comp. Work first tho I guess.

          As for a cue maker I have found a guy who is prepared to do a few cues for me but he asked me to source some wood blanks.

            Hi sanman, have a look at

            www.sarisburygreen-snookercues.co.uk

            as they seem to be offering the facility to but buy blank cue components. Don't know about quality though as I have never used them, I just remember their website has a 'cue blanks' section. Maybe they could help you out?

                haha surely an oversize cue blank can't have been ruined THAT much by a person, can it? lol

                    Lets just say a guy who can make an oval cue on a lathe is a wizard at buggering things up!

                    Cabinet maker......Id not trust him to make up IKEA furniture.
