When is done, the cue will be shipped together with my friend's cue, which I think is one of Trevor's most fancy cue anyone has ever seen.

The cue was orignally made by PQJ at 17.3oz and he didn't have any other cues available and I wanted to test out one of his cues for myself. Up until then I had been using an 18.5oz cue so I weighted up the 1-piece using lead tape centered around the balance point.
In the past 2 months or so I have improved my technique and I found I didn't require the extra weight to get the action I required on the cueball for position, however I am re-thinking that idea as I'm still having problems with those high-power and long distance deep screw shots which I used to be able to do with the 18.5oz cues.
Part of being a coach is experimenting with everything so you can give your students some idea when they ask those tricky questions.
