I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on one(£70-£100 but i want to take it to the next level and get something decent that may improve my game. Any ideas?

I have 2 JP special cue also awaiting lengthening in UK.
I might have a JP special 3/4, slightly under 57", may put up for sale if price is reasonable.

normally the smaller the tip the better you can control the cue ball, but having a smaller tip means you need your accuracy to be more precise.
an average tip is about 8.5 - 9.5mm i think.
I use 9.5 myself, which is still quite small..
Your best bet is to actually go to a snooker shop and play around with a few cue's on a table. there's no better way to finding the perfect cue than doing this, especially if your not sure what kind of specs you want, like the weight & balance etc..If practice makes perfect, and no one's perfect, then why practice?

Even at this price I will be making a big loss.
From the work that was done to the cue, you can get JP to change the badge to a JP ultimate! With that you might have the slightest chance of selling it at £350+. The usual price for a used JP special is £250 (plain ebony) - £300+ (spliced).
Good luck in your sales.

I will offer it up if someone likes it I'm sure it will sell. This is a high quality cue and the only reason I’m letting it go is that I need a cue of around 58". John thought it would affect the balance if I went any longer than 57 1/2 hence the sale. My boy wants me to give it to him. So unless I can get a good offer I’ll be keeping it.
lets just wait till I get it back and put the pic's up
