  • How long are you willing to wait for a new cue

    AS the title had ask;

How long are you willing to wait for a new cue?

I will be willing to wait up to 2 months for average - above average cue make. Anything longer that that very hard to shallow.

I would wait 6 months for a TW but needed a change of cue . So i bought a TW from ADR .Only took a week to sort it out . Still thinking of buying a new TW but the little lady indoors has just got wind of this and has threatened that if i do , me and the cue will be on the streets in a cardboard box . Never mind worse things happen at sea . Currently looking for a free park bench ! Must have room for a 4 pack of Stella Artois and a place for the dog [ not the wife ! ] .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

          Ya, you are rite.

I m not getting another big name like MW, TW or H&O to make my cue, but he is big enough in his own rights.

I have another cue coming up, but will keep it enclosed until it is completed.

Will post pics when cue is completed.

            6 -12 months if I had to...

I dont play anywhere near as much as I used to ( for now ) so it wouldn't affect my game all too much... Each to their own tho :P

As long as I have to provided I get the cue I want from the maker of my choice when the wait is over.

How long I would have to wait is simply not a factor in my decision making process.

WOW!! Ste-bed, you really can wait, btw just out of curiosity do you work?? I only ask that i thought when you have ordered a cue you probberly go into HIBERNATION.... And wake up when you hear a knock on the door!! The longest i can wait nowadays is parcelforce 24, and even that is a restless night tossing and turning having bad thoughts dreading a postal strike, take my hat off to guys like you... AWESOME!!!
I can see the table, but lost my ....ive lost my balls

yes plumber when your waiting there not much you can do just sit and wait its no good getting all hot and bothered theres nothing you can do about it.when waiting for the ultimate though i realy did get pi**ed with them i rang up about 5 month expecting the cue to be done as i was told 20 weeks and the women i spoke to said its a bit behind should be a few more weeks. i waited about 6 more then rang again and spoke to mr parris he told me they hadnt even started the cue yet as they where waiting on some maple shafts. which realy got me going as the girl told me it was nearly ready so now when i order i dont ring email or nothing i will just wait until robin rings me.

I m not a pro player, more of a touch & go collector so waiting time is very important.

Anyway i m quite an impatient person & i discovered that long waiting time doesnt = good quality cues.

It is on a case to case basis

From a top notch cue maker, I don't mind waiting for a while, say 12 months?
