  • I just ordered my new cue!

In order to (re)place Craftsman on the snooker map, I have decided to purchase my new cue with them!

I opted for a Dominator, with Pro Ash Shaft. 9mm tip size, 18.5oz, 58in

Now, need to wait a couple of weeks before trying the cue!

Will post pics as soon as I receive it!

And to complete the stuff, I bought a leather cue case from Peradon, the one with the Scottish flag on it. Can't wait to receive it.

    Erwan

Where do you get the prices from Erwan? There do not seem to be any prices on Peradon site for cases.

Indeed, the Peradon website doesn't display any prices. So I went for a reseller and found what I wanted at http://www.elstonandhopkin.co.uk/

the leather case cost me around £130.

Well, I'd kill to have Mags' cue action

Anyway, as stated earlier, I'll post pictures of the cue when I get it but to give you an idea, here is the design I opted for:

Love the Thuya Burr and the discrete blue veneers. Quite a unique design, never seen anything close to this one yet. For the grand cost of £150, it's well worth the gamble.

Indeed, looks nice but pics are not of great quality. Colors looks oversaturated, maybe the use of the flash...I think you have to use a white background for that type of cue. [sorry, it's the amateur photograph who speaks out! :P]

best luck to your new cue,but leather case is not practical as aluminium case, isn't it?

i just bought a cue craft aluminium case from jhon parris, hope that can bring me the same surprise with u,haha
one thing i can not control is just the wish i wanna take my cue to fight

Well, obviously, leather cases are a bit more fragile than aluminium cases...but also less 'pretty', if I can say so. But I have another aluminium case so if I need to protect it better, for a plane trip for example, I'd pick the alu one.

Having said that, a friend of mine has a Peradon leather case, similar to the one I ordered, and it is still in perfect condition after 2 years. Guess it depends how you use it.

I just received an email from Craftsman. My order is now processing. As I asked for a pro ash cue, it will take up to 6 weeks to be completed. I also opted to stick with the original blue badge, and not the 'Craftsman - Pro Ashe Cue' that would normally be fitted on these cues. Just prefered the blue tone of the original.

I also asked for a Talisman soft tip to be fitted right away.

                        Let's the wait begins...

It certainly is a great looking cue.I recently purchased a craftsman myself
and am very happy with it.You said you were paying 150 for it.I thought for the pro ash shaft they charge 60 more.

                              thanks for the link mate.

i think its a good idea to stick to the blue badge, it suits the blue veneers anyway.

personaly, i still prefer the normal white badges with the golden lining, too bad they arent barss :P otherwise, it would be really really cool.
im not a fan of their pro-ash badges, theres something artistically sloppy about it. having seen quite a few pro-ash badges, im also somewhat convinced that they are somehow fitted slightly slanted.
