  • cues and wax

hi everyone i've waxed my cue with beeswax ever since i bought it i was just having and read and people are saying that linseed oil is whats needed to look after your cue i was wondering if i'm causing any damage using wax,my cues a dream and i'd hate to do something that damages it.
any advice would be appreciated thanks

I don't think you are doing any harm to your cues, but what I known of wax is that it's more of a covering/sealer, where linseed oil feeds the wood and is absored by it. I think that if you remove the wax and put linseed on you will never go back to wax

If your happy with the finish don't mess with it the wax will not do harm.
Craftsman cues wax and I have 3 friends who swear by a wax finish. I waxed my old cue but my current one Trevor White said he didn't use wax and just to use a bit of oil on rare occasions.
I have been told that wax can get a bit sticky in summer though. I still say don't mess with finish unless your not happy. I find it gets out of hand once you start mucking about.

Use this stuff. I have MW cue and the finish is awesome. The thing I like is it is matt and very natural looking.
