        I used to hold my cue right at end but then I got a longer cue and it cocked me up for a bit. I kept defaulting to holding at end even thought cue was an inch longer and I didn't need to. Got used to it and actually another cue on from then now.

        8.5 - 9.5 is probably best.
        Less than 8 is probably daft. My mate with the 7mm tip broke his old cue at the ferrule 3 times.

          tbh if i played with a 7mm would need a break cue as i would break it sooner or later with the break i have lol

            setting off to craftsmans cues at kippax on an hour or so god ill be like a lil kid in a sweety shop :P, try every cue and i still wont find anything i like lol:snooker:

                    yes i played with nearly every cue they had took 2+ hours but i found 1 i liked i just need to alter the tip size as 9.7mm is far 2 big for me link to picture below if i intrested i paid 150 and got a free tip pick

                          i paid 150 with a tip pick thing happy with cue just need to take at least .7mm off the tip as its 2 big

                              Yes loopy, I had same prob and do not use facebook.

                              Ian, have you tried a tip that big? It seems to me that most players use approx 10mm, but blokes on the forum are the ones that seem to think smaller is better.
                              When I was playing regularly, the top players usually used 10mm and bigger and and have been told that most of todays pros use 10mm.

                                well when u have played with nothing less that a 9 all ur life its hard with a big tip i mean at pool i cant see the white for the tip haha ****s me over

                                so is it a gd cue boys and have i got value for money??? 145 i paid??
