Is this fixable?

My cue had a little accident the other night As you can see from the pic there's a chunk of ebony missing, the badge is broken and there's a six inch crack on either side of the ebony. Is it easily repaired by a cuemaker or is it new cue time?

I believe it can be easily repair by adding a face splice.
Any reputable cue doctor should be able to do a good job.

Thanks for the re-assurance Willy. I'm going to take it to Kevin Muncaster on monday and he can hopefully save my lovely cue.

Noel - don't use your cue as a javelin, it'll end up like mine

After the job by kevin, you may even get a disc badge customize since you previous one is damaged.

Kevin will be able to fix it im sure. There are available resins you could use to fill any cracks but it will probably need resplicing around the are.

Looks like an easy fix.
Turn it into a positive and think of all the nice splicing you could have.
Go mad and get a badge with your name on

Those look like impact injuries to me, most likely caused by a missed black off the spot on about 49!

Never done it myself (got to 49 that is) and every time I see the damage I'm glad!

The cue was thrown javelin like and hit the deck resulting in the damage, drunkens pranks eh ... Took it to Kevin Muncaster today and i'm having 4 splices of tulip wood + ebony mini butt + NW cues badge for cue and mini butt, all for £95, quite happy tbh.
