  • How much will this cue fetch?

I just laid my hands on 2 very old 1/2 joint cue. One is a John Parris Traditional & the other is a mastercraft rosewood butt cue.

    JOHN PARRIS TRADITIONAL

    MASTERCRAFT CUE

Both of them have been fitted with a original butt joint by their respective workshop.

Played a game using the JP traditional, old cue are really well crafted and balanced. Cant find anything to fault the cue except the my own skill.

Is wondering whether should i glued the joint shut or sell if the offers is reasonable.

        Hey,

I m the pimp to my cues.

But when come the lust, the cue serves it purposes.

Finally, i m not a cue seller. I m not providing a services to people who enjoys playing snooker with a cue.

I understand how it felt when you have the budget but cant find the suitable cue.

Why are you thinking of glueing the joint willytan ???
Are they loose or something ? some people still prefer a 1/2 jointed cue and it would surely de-value them to glue them shut

The reason i wanna glue the joint shut is to prevent future opening of the joint. Making the cue like a 1pcs.
Pro-long Opening & closing will wear out the teething.
                  Joint is in prefect condition.

It's a shame people don't like 2 piece any more.
I think your valuations are very fair and a few years back (when I was cue hunting) I would have paid £200 for a Parris Traditional that was two piece.
Hard to tell exactly I once saw a 2 piece Robin cue only go for £80 (and was sold) I was gob smacked and wished I'd thrown a 100 bid in.

The cue is currently in the UK awaiting lengthening.

Since there is no one whom is interested on the sale, i might as well lengthen it for my own future usage and also add it to my limited cue collection.

To be frank, all the cues that i have introduced to the m8s here are all straight.
If there is any hint of warp, i will honestly declare it.

The JP Traditional is in impeccable condition.
Will retake some of the pics cos it was taken 1am in the morning in my closet.
