  • snooker cue query

just a quick question. have been down my local snooker club and as i couldnt afford a proper cue i have been using an old broom handel that i had thrown out in the garden. ive managed to get most of the moss off but it doesnt stop me getting funny looks when i go down the club. was just wondering if anyone knows how i could chalk the end of it to get a bit more purchass when im carrying it around. also i think it might be a bit long but thats nothing a good hacksaw cant sort out. will just lop a few feet of the end. just a tip for u guys i have made a nice glove out of a hessien sack even though its a bit bulky u can easily get it to the hall in a small suitcase and it stops u getting splinters on your bridging hand. let me know if anyone is interested in me making them one.:snooker:

Fruit gums are the tip of choice for this cue... found the jelly tots used to be high maintenance as they were always mushrooming...
