I've seen these cues ages ago, don't think they make them anymore, they are budget cheap cues, no splicing meaning they use lead weights, the cue doesn't have any new splicings, so the only thing I can see that is "customised" by John Parris, is... the joint.... lol.... I doubt the ash is of any good quality, the ones I've seen previously is only good for a whip, any interested buyer better have a hit with it before deciding to buy it....

I might stick a JP badge on a old broom handle and see if anyone is daft enough to bid

which part of my post was my opinion of the cue? I've said I've played with such cue previously and they weren't any good... therefore the buyer should definately try before they buy...

If the ash wood was any good, why didn't the original maker add a few nice splices so they can make a bit more money on the cue? Most likely it must have been a mass produced machine made cue....

Do you own this cue? Have you played with one? Can you explain how the cue was balanced? Can you find anything else on the cue that's "customised" by John Parris that deserves a mention? Now you've mentioned that my post is ONLY MY opinion, I want to hear YOUR opinion too....

Possibly the original maker DID add the splices. perhaps johns customisation job was to plane them off and add matching ash splices to make the cue look cheap.

If so this was a magnificent piece of craftsmanship!

Was in Focus today and nearly bought half a dozen broom handles - They looked good quality. Only problem is, do not know where my wood plane is. So gave it a miss today.

You must be a dead meat to bid for such a cue.

Otherwise you have too much money to spare....
