  • I've £200 for a decent cue, help me out!

Just had me cue (Smith and Nelson Sportsman) pinched from a bar in Newcastle on Thursday night!!!

I've saved £200 for a new cue anyway but which one should I buy. I'm 6ft 2 and have played for years but have always played with "budget" cues and now want something decent. Which should I buy??

    Cheers,
    Mat Wilson

Mat, wots ur cue cue doin lying around a bar in newcastle? U need to be more careful!!
For 200 quid you can pick up something nice but 59" is a bit longer than the normal. At 6 foot 2 you could manage with a 58" cue I think. Hotpot has given you a list of cuemakers to look at. All worth a look. Personally I think I would narrow the choice to Craftsman Cues, GBL and Mastercraft. Good websites and customer service.

You already have good budget and take some time to test more cues out if it's possible with you..

If you spend a little more (start £240) you'l get a Robin Cook cue. He has a waiting list now but his cues are amoung the best in the world.

                          59", 60" & 61" cues

                          Hi Mat.

Contact Stu at www.greenbaize.com. He is expecting delivery of extra long cues from Mastercue.

Compared to my more expensive cues, mastercue is great value for the money. Great feel and solid hit for less than £200.
